Safety tips for woman walking alone at night

Posted by Julie Morris on Monday, October 30, 2023, In : Personal Safety
No matter where you live or how safe you think the locality is, never underestimate the badness of opportunistic perpetrators are. You never know when you'll have to walk alone. Nights can get really nasty if you don't have a car and if you're alone.

Sometimes, women leave the office around 7:45 pm, and though this timing is somewhat 'late in the evening' and not 'at the night', the area where offices are located is usually dark and quiet. It's not a residential area, and so you won't find any...

Personal Alarms For The Elderly

Posted by Mark Davis on Monday, January 31, 2022, In : Personal Security
Dedicating time to care for our elderly loved ones, without additional assistance, has become harder.

Equally importantly, our elderly loved ones do not want to feel we are smothering them, or that they are worrying us unnecessarily. They want to keep their independence and go about their day-to-day lives without feeling that they are either a burden or that they are constantly being observed or ‘checked on’.

Personal alarms have become increasingly popular to help assist in our busy lives ...

Hotel Safety Tips For Women

Posted by Julie Stone on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, In : Hotel Safety
Traveling alone can be a highly rewarding experience. You don't have to compromise your desires and preferences in the interest of a partner or group. You eat what you want, where you want and when you want. You see only the attractions that interest you. You move at your own pace, obey your own whims and set your own rules.

The flipside of solo travel, of course, is safety. Women especially should keep in mind a set of simple guidelines when adventuring alone.

A good place to start is hotel sa...

The club is a great old building which was built in 1903 to get local young people off the streets and playing sports and other activities.

It was opened by Lieutenant General Robert Stephenson Smyth Baden-Powell, 1st Baron Baden-Powell, OM, GCMG, GCVO, KCB, KStJ, DL, who was a British Army officer, writer, founder and first Chief Scou...

Security gatekeepers assume a significant job in our networks. They are there to ensure our property, implement guidelines and look after security. These gatekeepers can be discovered working in spots, for example, banks, emergency clinics, bars, schools, retail locations and inns among others. On the off chance that you try to get into this field, it is significant that you realise how to turn into a security monitor. It is imperative to take note of that most top security firms really lean ...

Getting rejected for entry to a Nightclub

Posted by Juliet Grey on Monday, September 3, 2018, In : Nightclub Security
Clubbing is one of those things you either love or hate. Clubbing comes with all kinds of do's and don't's. Don't wear white shoes, do wear a collared shirt, don't turn up to the club drunk, do get your name on the guest list to secure yourself entry. The list is endless. For me, getting into bars and nightclubs isn't overly difficult.

I don't turn up drunk, I know how to wear a pretty dress and I must be OK looking. Over the weekend, I attended a party at one very upmarket nightclub and altho...

Posted by John Cherry on Friday, May 18, 2018, In : Home Security
For seniors, one of the best ways to do this is to have a home security system installed. Be sure to choose one that includes off-site, third-party monitoring so that emergency personnel can be summoned at the first hint of danger.

As you age, the risks of becoming the victim of a violent crime steadily decrease; however, senior citizens must still take steps to stay safe in their homes because criminals do not discriminate when it comes to breaking into houses. In addition, older people are a...

Although women feel more vulnerable when they’re out, it’s actually young men who are a higher risk of violence.
In this day and age, you have to prepare yourself for whatever may come your way. There are people out there who are just looking for targets and you want to make sure you’re not one of them.

Keeping safe whilst walking

Always try to walk facing on-coming traffic to avoid kerb crawlers (men who drive around looking for prostitutes).
If you do get asked for sex by someone slowly d...
