Insight into Security Services

My friend works as a security guard for a big company in a 30 floor-complex building including offices and supermarket in the center of the city. I often ask him whether he feels bored or tired because in my mind, he just stands in front of the gate, watches out people going in and out, and he always wears a uniform everyday, every season. However, it is shown from him that he is satisfying with his current job and has no intention of changing this uninspired job into another better job. This makes me curious and I wonder how interesting security services are. One day, I came to see him, and I knew deeply the reason why he likes the job of a security.
Working for security is not as really simple as I thought before. All security guards are paid for protecting properties and assets of a company, a building or stores, or any people in the place that they are working. The guard guides and checks any customers coming whether they go to the building with accepted purposes or not. Sometimes, a security deals with lockouts, lost persons, etc.
They also inspect and pay attention to thoroughly video cameras and alarm systems to make sure every corner of places is in good status without any disorder. Everything will be okay if their working area is quiet and stable and is not the place that many people communicate. Nevertheless, most of security guards are always working in complicated areas in which security is given priority because there is possibility of crime, theft, signs of disorder.
Moreover, a security man must try to detect any person who has vandalism, misconduct as well as safety regulation violations. Services are also attached with danger while the security men are handling with evildoers, criminals or violators.
Not many of them are obedient to follow the instruction or remind of security; conversely, they might fight with security man. So, it is very common for people to see a security man equipped with weapon such as electrical stick, handcuffs for their self-defense. I realize that it is such a hard job requiring much more skills and patience. Nowadays, many security companies around the world supply good security services, before offering staff to the customers, all of security men are well-trained with all acquired skills. Security companies not only supply long term security services but also shorten and seasonal services as well, such as in trade shows, exhibitions, opening ceremonies, and conferences or any special events.
